Statement Regarding Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj of Jesus Ministries, Angel TV and Last Days Prophetic Training College
We have been and still are in a season in which the Lord is exposing corruption and bringing cleansing to the body of Christ. He is doing this to prepare His people for a greater glory. This should give all of us a sobering sense of the fear of the Lord and encourage us to pursue His holiness, without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
It is with a heavy heart that we convey the following. It has been thoroughly documented in video recordings, transcriptions of those videos, text messages, numerous emails, testimonies of numerous victims and witnesses and a conference phone call with Sundar Selvaraj on February 25, 2026, that Sundar has demonstrated a pattern of lying and has engaged in giving false “prophetic” words to manipulate and intentionally mislead people, causing harm to individuals and families. (The February 25, 2026 phone call with Sundar was with myself and included two others of the five board members of Shekinah Worship Center.)
In that February 25 phone call, Sundar was also made aware that we had in our possession hard evidence that his younger brother, Steven Francis, was operating his ministry in North Carolina with fraud and deceit. In subsequent emails Sundar was reminded that he (Sundar) was the one primarily responsible for correcting Steven Francis and exposing his wrongdoing since Sundar had publicly ordained him and publicly endorsed his ministry. Although he said he was willing to do so, Sundar’s actions have demonstrated an unwillingness to bring exposure or correction to Steven who he had publicly ordained as a so-called “apostle” and publicly endorsed as having “a perfect heart before God for the last forty years”. From February until now, Sundar has never once asked to see any of the hard evidence we have. Neither has he taken the time to speak with or listen to any of the victims who had reached out to us.
After the February 25 phone call with Sundar to address these issues, there were numerous follow-up email exchanges between myself and Sundar in an attempt, among other things, to encourage repentance on his part. Repentance would involve openly admitting his sin to the people he misled, telling them the truth and asking for forgiveness. It would also involve bringing correction to Steven Francis. Sundar has demonstrated an unwillingness to do so.
On March 31, 2026, after the Shelby, North Carolina Police Department had obtained several search warrants, Steven Francis’ home and church were searched and numerous items were confiscated. Steven is currently under an ongoing investigation for multiple felonies including crimes involving fraud and money laundering. Knowing of Steven Francis’s corruption beforehand, Sundar failed to correct or restrain him. Knowingly neglecting to do so is an egregious sin against the Lord and the body of Christ, similar to how Eli did not restrain his sons from committing heinous sins in the house of God (1 Samuel 3:13).
Since repentance has not been demonstrated by Sundar, the following statement must be made.
With sadness, I and the board of directors of Shekinah Worship Center resolutely state that we choose to no longer engage with the ministry of Sundar Selvaraj. It has been demonstrated that in his present condition his ministry is not trustworthy and has, in fact, proven to be harmful, especially to the unwary. It is our duty to God and to people to warn the body of Christ about such persons who stand in the office of a “minister of the Gospel” but engage in deceitful practices. Please pray, as we are, for God’s mercy and His redemptive will to be done in Sundar’s and Steven Francis’ lives and in the lives of their victims.

“How did you get involved in discovering Sundar’s unprincipled conduct?”
There are two ways we became involved.
1) This whole ordeal is not something we initially chose to be involved with. It fell upon us. In January of 2026 we began to be contacted by a number of people in North Carolina who were recent former members of Steven Francis’s church. Two of those people we knew because before moving to North Carolina they had attended our church in Lancaster, California. They reached out in desperation to us for help because they had exhausted every other means they knew of. They had seen and experienced first-hand the lies, manipulation and financial dishonesty of Steven Francis. They also had documented proof of his financial corruption. Some of them had gone to Steven Francis to confront him about his misdeeds and were rebuffed by him. They showed us evidence (texts and emails) of reaching out to the elders and board members to seek help from them. The elders and board members did not help them. Then they showed us evidence that they had reached out to Sundar Selvaraj for help but they received no response from him. In desperation, they called our church office in Lancaster for help.
After reading statements from several recent former members, a few phone calls and seeing convincing proof, Melinda (my wife) and I decided we had no choice. We needed to help them. These people needed to be heard. I asked a trusted friend who I have known for 16 years to go back to North Carolina with us as a third party impartial witness to meet with a group of the victims.
We met with ten (10) of the aggrieved for many hours each day over a two day period in February, 2026. About 10 others who could not be there in person during that time (due to work or other schedules) gave us written statements. We recorded about three hours of video testimony from the group that we did meet with in person. We also obtained copies of documents published by Steven’s small church (Jesus My King Church, Shelby, NC), copies of videos and transcriptions of messages and statements by Steven and Sundar Selvaraj at that church, copies of emails, text messages, cancelled checks and more. The proof of corruption was abundant and quite alarming. The devastation to the families was heartbreaking.
The people shared with us, some in tears, that as their eyes were opened to Steven’s deceit and fraud, they also realized Sundar Selvaraj was complicit because he promoted his brother from the pulpit of JMK church as having “walked with a perfect heart before God for the last 40 years”. There were other dishonest things that Sundar said and did that contributed to them being deceived by Steven.
Having the corruption and deceit uncovered before our eyes, it would have been sin before the Lord if we had remained silent and did not take action. The Bible says that we are to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11
2) The second way that we got involved in this ordeal was because Steven had put fraudulent statements on his visa application back in 2019 when he first attempted to come to North Carolina on a visa as a “missionary” to plant a church. I know this because my wife and I had met Steven in Singapore in 2018 or 2019 while ministering at a conference there. Steven and his wife had a meal with us and claimed that “the Lord” was telling them to move to the USA to plant a church in North Carolina. He wanted to know if we would “sponsor” them on their visa application. We were led to believe that it only involved ensuring that he had a regular income in the USA. He said that his church in Singapore would donate his monthly salary to our church in the USA. We would then pay his monthly salary with those donated funds. We hardly knew Steven but because Sundar had him speak at his conference and because he was Sundar’s brother, we thought that he must be a good person. Not knowing any better, we said “OK”.
However months later, when Steven forwarded to us the visa forms that he wanted me to sign, they were filled with dishonest statements. We found out that sponsoring him required much more than just ensuring that he had a job and a salary. It required him to actually be an employee of our church in Lancaster. He had to literally work here at least 20 hours per week. The form that Steven sent to us said that he would preach four times a year at our church. The form said that Steven would be in our church board meetings giving guidance and counsel to the church board. In a separate communication after that, Steven said that he needed to send his assistant out to go through our church books to audit them as a requirement for the visa application (That was a lie as well. That is not required for the visa.) I was shocked. I would not sign the visa form. I called him and told him that we were not having him speak here four times a year and he is not sitting in our board meetings to give us counsel and guidance. I told him “I’m sorry, but this is dishonest. Why did you put these dishonest statements in the form? We can’t sponsor you.”
Steven replied “The attorney must have put those statements in there.”
I don’t remember hearing from Steven after that. Four years later, in 2023 I was speaking at a conference in Jerusalem with Sundar Selvaraj. After the conference, Melinda, myself and Sundar were sitting in the hotel lobby having a cup of tea. Sundar looked at me and said “My brother said he is angry with you.” Somewhat surprised by this I said “Why?” Sundar replied “He said you promised to sponsor him on his visa but then you refused to help him.”
With Melinda there as my witness, I told Sundar “That is not true. I was willing to help him, but he misled us as to what our involvement should be. Then he sent me forms with fraudulent information. He put on the forms that he would preach at our church four times a year and that he was going to sit in our church board meetings and give us counsel and guidance.” I told Sundar that when I called Steven on these lies, Steven said “The attorney must have put those statements in there.”
Without hesitating Sundar said to Melinda and me “No, my brother did that. I know him and I know what he is like. That is something he would do.” By Sundar’s own admission he was telling us he knew his brother’s character to be dishonest.
So, after we had gone back to Shelby, NC in February of 2026 to meet with the group of aggrieved, they told us that Steven had told people in his church the same story that he told Sundar. He told them he was angry with me because I promised to help him with his visa but then didn’t keep my word and refused to help him. So, I told the people in NC the truth of what really happened and how Steven put fraudulent information on the visa form and I would not sign it because of the lies.
So, later when some of the aggrieved in NC went to the police, they told the detective on the case that Steven had tried to enter the USA dishonestly but that I would not cooperate with Steven’s lies. Because of that, the detective from NC called me to question me about the situation. He then asked me if I had the emails from 2019 when Steven wanted me to sign the fraudulent forms. I told the officer “I don’t know if I still have the emails, but I will look.” I did find several emails and the detective asked me to send them to him. That is the second way that we were brought into this ordeal.
“Why didn’t you see this corruption earlier?”
That’s a good question. In hindsight, we can see things now that we didn’t see before.
We are asking God for more grace to discern better. I realize I trusted Sundar too much. Looking back and remembering what seemed like little occasional “red flags” , in my mind I would give him a “pass”, thinking there must be a good reason for that and believing he was a man of God. That is a mistake I don’t intend to make again.
We are not saying this is the complete answer to the question, but it may be part of the reason why exposure didn’t happen earlier: God does give people time to repent. Even concerning Jezebel who was teaching idolatry and sexual immorality in the church, the Lord says
“And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.”
Revelation 2:21
Over the last many decades we have seen numerous ministers exposed for greed, dishonesty, and immorality. Long before the public exposure comes, they have usually been practicing their sin for quite some time. Before the Lord allowed public exposure He sought to deal with them in many ways, including private rebukes. When these warnings go unheeded, public exposure comes.
Isn’t it a betrayal to expose a minister for corruption who was formerly a trusted friend?
No. It is a betrayal of God and a betrayal of His people for any minister to be dishonest and to abuse the people that we are charged by God to care for.
When deceit and corruption are discovered, if there is no repentance, then we as leaders are betraying the body of Christ if we do not expose it. This is how the body of Christ is protected. Again, the Bible says that we are to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Ephesians 5:11
UPDATED STATEMENT – July 24, 2026
We have been asked if we could give more details concerning the July 12 statement in which we stated that we have documentation that Sundar Selvaraj has practiced lying and has engaged in knowingly misleading people with false “prophecy”. We have discovered that this has been a pattern with him for some time.
Because there is still an ongoing criminal investigation of his brother, Steven Francis, we are limited, at this time, as to how much information/proof we can release (until the investigation is completed). Following you can hear a recording of Sundar in his own words that demonstrates just ONE of the issues of his dishonesty that have surfaced.
As mentioned in the July 12 statement, myself and two of our church’s board members had a conference call with Sundar Selvaraj on February 25, 2026 to inform him that we had hard evidence that his brother, Steven Francis, was operating his ministry in Shelby, NC with deceit and fraud. We called to inform Sundar that we had also discovered (we had recordings, transcripts and documents) that he was complicit by intentionally lying from the pulpit in order to agree with and/or cover his brother’s dishonest conduct.
We spent two days with a group of ten (10) recent former members of Steven’s church, and received written statements from others who could not be at the meeting. We saw copies of text messages, citations, hospital bills and more.
This is some of what was uncovered and what we began to relay to Sundar on the phone call.
*Steven Francis’s son had a substance abuse/addiction pattern. He had gotten in trouble in Singapore because of this prior to coming to the USA in 2020 on a visa. He was emergency hospitalized from 03/06/24 to 03/09/24 for substance overdose. We have a copy of the $30,984.15 hospital bill and photos of Steven’s son in recovery at the hospital.
* On 05/24/24 Steven’s son received a driving violation for “driving while impaired and speeding”.
*On 06/27/25 Steven’s son received a reckless driving violation: “wanton disregard and improper equipment; speedometer”.
*On 08/04/25 Steven’s son received a violation for “driving while impaired” and “speeding”.
We do not report these incidents to shame the boy but to say that it was wrong to encourage or allow the boy to be married until he received deliverance from substance abuse/addiction and had established a track record of being stable and free.
*It was alleged by the witnesses that it was known that Steven’s son had said more than once that he “needs to marry a US citizen so he could get his green card”.
*Steven first suggested and then later prophesied to a virgin young lady (who the mother and witnesses say had never dated before), who lived at home with her mother and aunt (no father in the home), that she should marry his son. Reportedly she cried off and on for three days at the thought of having to marry him but eventually said she was willing to do God’s will, since she thought Steven was a prophet and that Steven knew God’s will for her life.
*Steven told the young lady that he was going to “mentor” her and she would be the first girl he had mentored. Looking back, the girl’s mother felt that this was Steven’s “grooming” process to bring her under his control, to separate her from her mother’s influence and persuade her to marry his son.
*Steven also prophesied to his son that he was to marry this young lady. Text messages show that Steven’s son was not happy about marrying her at first because his text says “She dresses like an old lady”. Steven’s son also did not like her name (according to his text messages). Reportedly Steven’s wife gave her a new first name “Joanna”. In the text message Steven’s son said that he liked that name better, presumably making her more suitable to marry.
*Again, the young lady who lived at home with her mother and aunt, without a father, had never dated. Initially, the mother gave the “ok” for her to date Steven’s son. After the first date, Steven’s son brought the girl home past 2:00 AM. The girl’s mother was disturbed about that. The girl’s mother went on a 21 day fast to seek the Lord. At the end of the fast she felt like the Holy Spirit had clearly revealed to her that Steven’s son was NOT God’s will for her daughter.
*The mother reached out to Steven to ask for a meeting because she did not feel good about Steven promoting and encouraging his son to date her daughter. She wanted to tell Steven what she felt in prayer, talk about it with him, and ask him to slow down or take a break with the dating. Steven refused to meet with the mother.
*The girl had been convinced this was the “will of God”. Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj and Steven both call Steven a prophet and an apostle. Reportedly, the girl felt whatever the “man of God” Steven said must be God’s will for her life.
*Steven arranged for the girl to be extracted from her mother’s home and taken to live in another home in the church without telling the mother where the daughter was. With only one hour notice a man showed up to take her away. The mother was frantic, crying and screamed for help. She was disregarded as the daughter was taken away. The daughter had been convinced by now that she had to do this to be in God’s will.
*Shortly after the girl was extracted from her mother’s home and moved to an undisclosed location to live, Steven told the mother not to come back to church.
*Without the mother’s consent, a wedding was arranged and rushed. Approximately one week after Steven’s son’s recent “driving while impaired’ violation on 08/04/25, the two were engaged. The girl had been convinced it was God’s will to change her name and move out without telling her mother where she was. She got a new phone and did not give the mother her phone number. To this day her mother does not know how to reach her. The way this all played out was all promoted and encouraged by Steven.
*When we interviewed the ten (10) different witnesses in February, 2026, the mother was shaking and crying as she said “I have not seen my daughter in five months. She has been convinced that she is not to talk to me or set foot on my property. I don’t know her new phone number. I don’t know where she lives.”
*The engagement and wedding date were rushed as Steven needed to get his son married before his son had a hearing for his visa/green card hearing. If he was not married to a US citizen he was likely to be denied a green card. So this was the reason the wedding was rushed and the mother was rejected and her heart was trampled on.
*At this time, many in the church were against the wedding because they knew the character of Steven’s son and they felt it was improperly rushed with a total disregard for the mother who had been kicked out of the church.
* The mother was not told a wedding date and was not invited to the wedding.
We began to relate some of these points to Sundar Selvaraj on the phone on February 25, 2026.
What Sundar did not realize at the time, as we were relating the points to him is:
*There is a video of the wedding. We have the transcript of the wedding. We know that Sundar co-officiated the wedding.
*Sundar met with the girl by herself prior to the wedding and gave her his blessing to marry his nephew. She and his nephew were told to set the wedding date at a time where Sundar could come and co-officiate the wedding with his brother.
*Knowing the mother and daughter were estranged, and having known the mother well from previous visits to Shelby, NC, Sundar never cared to talk with the mother.
*Neither Sundar nor Steven ever cared to reconcile the mother and daughter.
*Sundar stood up in front of the congregation as a so-called “prophet” and prayed over the couple, prophesied to them and blessed their marriage.
So, after we related some of the circumstances on how the wedding came about, this was Sundar Selvaraj’s response.

Melinda: So Grace (mother) and Jane (aunt) haven’t even seen her or talked to her in five months. And they’re so hurt.
Joe: They’re so hurt. They said, We begged Stephen for a meeting and he refused.Sadhu: Uh huh. Well, um. Some, I know some portion of what you just said, but I do not know the complete version about uh this part. But, I did warn my brother that uh this marriage is not the will of the Lord.
Joe: You told him that?
Sadhu: Yes. And I told him, Don’t rush into this wedding just wait for another 6 months until mother also comes into agreement and gives her blessing.
Joe: So… wow.
Sadhu: The reasoning for the quick marriage is uh for Samuel’s visa.Joe: Yeah.
Sadhu: So that was his reasoning to rush into the wedding.
Joe: Even in the transcript of the wedding at the very end, Stephen says, We did it.Sadhu: My attending the wedding was more on a family basis brother than an official role.
Joe: One of the reasons they’re upset – they’re mostly upset with Stephen – but these people are upset with you too because they have a transcript of the wedding and you said, I see now an angel that’s assigned to make sure this marriage will never fall apart against all odds, against gossip or innuendos or witchcraft prayers. No one can break this wedding, marriage, apart. So they’re thinking, Oh my God ! Now we don’t believe this marriage of God, like you said, you don’t believe it’s of God to us right now… but at the wedding you said it’s of God. God brought them together and angel is going to make sure it stays together. So that’s why they’re… I also have my own questions, why would you say to me the Lord told me it’s not of God but then in the wedding say I see an angel that’s assigned to make sure it will never end.
Sadhu: I don’t deny all that, you know?Joe: Yeah.
Sadhu: I don’t deny the two statements that I made. So I ask you while you’re talking, I’m wondering in my mind asking myself the same question… on one end I knew this was not the right timing for the wedding or the will of God. Then at the wedding I did see an angel standing there between the couple. And the word that was given. So I’m wondering. And then I called to remembrance that even though sometimes we walk away from the will of God, that is in the permissive will of God that still speak a word concerning the second best of His plan. Under the first best plan is not the will of God. He is straight away into the permissive will, and in the permissive will, what will happen to them.
Joe: I think the best thing to do honestly, Brother Sadhu, is take a stand and tell your brother, I refuse to take part in this wedding, it’s not the will of God. I think that should have happened.Sadhu: I agree with you. On hindsight now.
Joe: Yeah. It’s just so painful, so how do we? What do we do going forward?
*Sundar admitted twice that the wedding took place for the sake of his nephew’s visa (green card hearing).
*Sundar said he was not at the wedding in any official capacity, but only as a support for his family. That was a lie. He co-officiated.
After being told by the Holy Spirit that the wedding was “not God’s will” he not only went ahead and co-officiated the wedding but proclaimed the opposite of what the Holy Spirit had told him. Knowing that the church was divided over the wedding, Sundar said that God “brought this couple together against all odds” and he prayed for them so that no “gossip” or “innuendo” or “witchcraft prayers” could stop the marriage. He also claimed to “see” a “special angel” assigned just to protect this marriage that he was told was “not God’s will”.
We do not believe that he saw an angel assigned to protect the marriage. We believe that was another one of his fabricated “visions” that he manufactured to mislead the people and quiet the dissent in the church against the marriage.
This is only ONE example of Sundar’s dishonesty that has come to the surface.
Standing in the pulpit as a representative of the Lord Jesus Christ and intentionally lying and fabricating a vision is an egregious sin against God and His body.
The Scripture that comes to mind in this situation is:
“Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain.” Titus 1:11
We asked Sundar more than once if he would go back to Shelby, NC and meet with the aggrieved families and tell them what he told us on the phone. I volunteered to go with him. We asked if he would please go and seek to bring peace and reconciliation to the families that were harmed by this. He and Steven, at any time, if they wanted to, could call the families together and sit down and tell the truth, ask for forgiveness and seek to bring reconciliation and healing to the situation. They don’t need me to be there. They could do it on their own at any time. To date, Sundar has refused to do so.
Here is another example of a fabricated “visitation” and a lie. Judge for yourself the following.
On April 30 I wrote to a former employee of Angel TV, who I knew, who contacted me on FB Messenger. I was responding to their question. This former employee asked me why Sundar’s videos were all removed from our church YouTube channel and he was not scheduled to speak here this year. I told her that we were trying to work through things with Sundar (hoping for repentance) so, because of that, I could not say now, but that in a month or so I would probably make a statement. I was informed by her that through a chain of events it was told to Sundar. Additionally, in one of Sundar’s emails to me he said that he knew before April 30 that I was planning to make a statement. (We didn’t want to have to make a statement but since we platformed Sundar for over 20 years, and Sundar showed no sign of repentance, we were obligated to warn the body of Christ.)
Conveniently, AFTER Sundar knew that I was going to make a statement about him in a month or so, he conveniently claims that he had a so-called “visitation” from angel from the throne of God who brought a sobering message about “Betrayals and Back-stabbings”.
The email he sent out was dated June 12, 2026 and the heading of the email said:
“Brace Yourselves: The Pattern of Last-Days Betrayal”
The email went on to say:
On May 29, 2026, an angelic messenger with a serious, somber countenance appeared to Prophet Sadhu during family prayer. The messenger delivered a stark warning: “These are the days when many betrayals and backstabbing will take place in the body of Christ.”
The angel revealed that whatever happened to the Lord Jesus Christ will happen in a matching pattern to His body on earth. This operational blueprint of the spirit of the Antichrist will manifest at two distinct levels:
- Minister to Minister
- Believer to Believer
Sadly, this is another fabricated “vision” concocted to serve himself.
This is exactly what Mike Bickle did before he was exposed for his immorality and corruption. He began using a so-called prophetic “vision” of a black horse that represented the “accuser of the brethren” and used this to try and get ahead of the exposure that he knew was coming. He began teaching that a satanic assault of false accusations would soon come against him and used this “vision” to deceive and manipulate many to get them to believe that Mike was a victim, when in reality it has been proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that Mike was the perpetrator, not the victim.
We have more to say and more proof to present, but will wait until the criminal investigation is completed before doing so.
